Holiday Message: Reflecting on Appreciation and Wishing you a Joyous Holiday Season.
The spirit of the holidays brings a wave of appreciation washing over me. This year has been a remarkable journey filled with growth, transformation, and continuous learning. My deepest gratitude goes to all of you – my valued clients, devoted fans, and cherished friends. Sharing my passion for energy medicine with you has been a privilege, and I'm especially thankful for the opportunity to serve you for the past 11+ years. Providing trauma-informed spiritual care continues to be my greatest source of joy. A special thanks to Kinsosaito Arts Center (www.kinosaito.org) for hosting my residency as a Sound Healer these past two years. The connections forged through the Kinosaito Sound Bath experience with the Crystal Harp Quartzophone will forever be cherished. No matter how you celebrate, may this holiday season be brimming with joy, peace, love, light, and the healing power of the season. I look forward to sharing exciting news with all of you in 2025 about what is in store for Rose Healing Center. Warmly, Rosemary
The energy of 2024 is winding down and we can already feel the energy of 2025 approaching. As the year draws to a close, have you ever felt overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of the holiday season? Amidst the twinkling lights and festive cheer, it's easy to lose sight of our own well-being. So I open this blog with a reminder to put yourself on this year’s gift list! This winter, let's embrace the quiet moments, the cozy nights, and the opportunity for introspection.
The Benefits of Winter:
Inner Reflection: The quietude of winter offers a perfect opportunity for introspection.

By embracing the winter season with intention and mindfulness, we can emerge from this time of year feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready to embrace new beginnings. As we embrace this Holiday season, contemplate whether you can give yourself permission to take time to check in on where you are at. What were the gifts of this past year? What were the challenges? What did you wish you had done or done more of? Now is the time to write in your calendar or journal about this. Months fly by and we can lose track of what is really important. It makes me think of the quote from the movie Ferris Bueller’s Day off:
December can be a paradox. We are often so busy preparing, shopping, wrapping, cooking or actually celebrating that we can miss that the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting longer. As the days shorten and darkness continues to increase many of us can often face challenges with sadness and depression. However, we are also reminded that December is a month of celebrations that include 12/25 to 1/3/25 Hanukkah,12/21 Winter Solstice, 12/25 Christmas and 12/31 New Year’s to name just a few celebrations.
Winter Solstice: A Time for Renewal and Reflection
The winter solstice, a time of darkness and rebirth, invites us to delve deep into our souls. It's a chance to let go of what no longer serves us and to cultivate a renewed sense of purpose. The Winter Solstice is 12/21 - the shortest day of the year, marks a turning point. As the days begin to lengthen, it symbolizes a time of rebirth and renewal. The Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year, marks a time of darkness and rebirth. It’s a moment when the old year fades and the new one begins to emerge. In many cultures, this is a time for reflection, celebration, and rituals to honor the cycle of life.
Why is the Winter Solstice Significant?
Ancient Celebrations: Many ancient cultures celebrated the Winter Solstice, recognizing its significance in the cycle of life and death.
Spiritual Significance: It’s a time for introspection, meditation, and connecting with our inner selves.
Natural Cycle: The Winter Solstice marks the beginning of the sun's return, bringing hope and optimism.

Nature Connection: Spend time outdoors, even if it's just a short walk.
Mindfulness and Meditation: Practice mindfulness techniques to connect with your inner peace.
Rituals and Traditions: Engage in rituals like lighting candles, setting intentions, or sharing a meal with loved ones.
Self-Care: Prioritize self-care activities, such as taking a warm bath, reading a book, or listening to soothing music.
Embrace the Magic of the Winter Solstice
As we move through the darkest time of the year, let’s embrace the opportunity for renewal and growth. By tuning into the energy of the Winter Solstice and practicing self-care, we can emerge from this season feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready to embrace the light.
