June 2017 Rose Healing News

your essential Oil and Oracle Card of the Month

June derives its name for the Roman word “Juno” and it has long been the traditional month for weddings.  So June’s theme is relationship - with one’s self, with others and with nature.  June is the month when most flowers really shine.  So get outdoors and enjoy them!  It is a time of year that is filled with celebrations – graduations, weddings, Father’s Day, etc.

But in all that celebration we need to remember self care too.   So how can we celebrate ourselves?  Think about allowing more self care during this beautiful time of the year.  Here are some brief ideas on how to incorporate “self-care” in the next month.

Ø     Practice a mindfulness exercise, even if it’s just deep breathing.

Ø     Find a place in nature to enjoy.

Ø     Go to bed early and make sure you get at least a full 8 hours of sleep.

Ø     Write down ten things in your life that inspire gratitude.

Ø     Schedule an appointment for intuitive body work  – like Reflexology, Craniosacral Balancing or Reiki. Hmmm… Maybe at Rose Healing Center. ;-)

June always reminds me of my grandmother’s back yard planters filled with big red geraniums. That memory inspired my choice for our oil of the month.

June Oil of the Month Geranium

Geranium oil has a floral rose-like aroma and is steam distilled from the plants fragrant flowers and leaves and this and has been used for centuries to support beautiful healthy skin. Geranium oil calms and relaxing the body and mind and is used traditionally to support the circulatory and nervous systems, a great deal of its strength lies in its ability to revitalize body tissues. In my practice at Rose Healing Center, I find geranium particularly helpful with the release of negative emotions and memories.  It assists those who are grieving a loss and helps to diminish fears of abandonment.  Blends of Young Living Essential Oils that contain geranium including “Envision” and “White Angelica”.   Geranium Oil Uses:

Several of you have asked me to bring back the “Oracle Card of the Month” to my newsletter so here we go. I asked for guidance for all the friends and fans of Rose Healing Center for the month of June and was guided to Doreen Virtue’s Archangel Raphael Desk and the card we received is:  “HOME HELP”

Spring is a very busy time of year inside and out.  Many of us can become overwhelmed with all that needs to be done in the garden, in the yard, in the house.  So, do you ask for help? Do you accept it when it is offered to you?

Doreen Virtue (the creator of the Oracle Cards) says that asking for help, and allowing yourself to be helped, is essential to our health and happiness. Whether it's asking your family to help with yardwork or housework; asking a friend for their sympathetic ear; or delegating an assignment at work, we all need to reach out to others.

Perhaps you feel guilty asking others for help, yet think of it this way: you are giving them an opportunity to feel needed. Your children develop a good work ethic as they learn to complete chores. And if you hire someone to help you, you're providing a livelihood.

Perhaps you assume that people will say no to your requests for help. Having this assumption can be self-fulfilling. And in the case of children, they need to learn how to work and how to handle authority. Part of parenting is being a teacher of life skills to our children.    Certainly children learn from watching you – do they see someone who exhausts themselves every day or has a balanced approach to work and rest?

This June at Rose Healing we are welcoming back Betty Sue Hanson to teach Reiki Level 1.     Please Save the Date – Sunday August 20, 2017 Align With Your Higher Self- A Channeled Guidance Session with Mary Ellen O'Brien.

Please feel free to leave a comment.  Wishing you all a wonderful June.
